The Board of Christian Education
Sunday School typically begins in worship and then students head to their classrooms using crafts, storytelling, science, missions, baking, and drama activities to engage with each week's scripture lesson. Children remain in worship to witness and participate in the sacrament of Holy Communion the first Sundays of the month. We follow the Regional District 13 School Calendar and do not have Sunday School on holiday weekends or school vacations. For more information on Sunday School, contact our Director of Children's Ministry, Stacey Cummings
Confirmation Class: Most students interested in confirming and affirming their baptismal promises are in 7th-10th grade. Students delve into what it means to be a teen of faith and an engaged member of the Church, exploring both United Methodist and United Church of Christ polity and theology. Classes are offered in the Spring in conjunction with Middlefield Federated Church using the Confirm not Conform curriculum. For information on joining future sessions contact the pastor.
United Churches follows Safe Conduct or Safe Sanctuary practices to ensure the safety of our children, youth and vulnerable adults. We follow a "two-adults" policy for all Sunday School programing. All volunteers, employees and church leadership complete background checks and are trained in Safe Conduct practices. Copies of our Safe Conduct policy are available in the church office and Narthex.
